I'm sure it would, but, again a fiver-a-pop for, say, 10,000 fans across 19 games of the season is getting on for £1m annually for the club to subsidise - because no way (rightly so) should the tram or bus companies stand that cost.
Also, a sudden influx of cars to the park-and-ride sites is potentially going to require more land for additional spaces. Who's paying for that and the ongoing cost of maintaining it?
Almost as though it's not quite as easy as back-of-a-fag-packet, this transport-planning lark.

For context that was almost 17 years ago.. the new Bills stadium which opens tonight costs 2.2 Billion $
Here the club are ultimately rebuilding 3 stands, and other work around the stadium. So while I agree I thought it was high and don't necessarily disagree with your cynical thinking the cost of building anything is increasing astronomically.

Fair, but the math still ain't mathing to me. Obviously I'm massively oversimplifying the equation but I really don't think that improved corporate revenue and the odd concert is making that much of a difference, especially when we factor in the higher match day costs and the huge cost of the money.

I think your figures are a bit high on both numbers and cost. If I was in the boardroom with a pin stripe suit on, I'm pretty sure I could get them to shake hands on £600,000 per season

Abbey Road or Abbey Circus are my current roads of choice. M and S car park for an evening game. Can’t use this for Saturday games as the 3 hr limit doesn’t suit.

Marinakis isn’t here to make money. He’s already lost tens of millions. The ground expansion just allows higher revenues so more can be spent.
