I honestly do normally cycle there. Kinda. I get the train to the station, then a Lime Bike to the North side of Trent Bridge. It's not far, I occasionally walk it, but I enjoy the cycle and it gives me time for another pint. Would be nice if there were docking/ e-bikes in WB so that I could get it to Central Avenue occasionally.

It's honestly hard to understand why you aren't in a boardroom in pinstripes with skills like that.

With respect, I think that's a slightly naive position. While there's no doubt that he invests in football clubs because he loves football, we shouldn't pretend he doesn't do it as a business. Yes, he's buying profile and credibility (although it's arguable how successful either of those is if he's trying to appear clean), but he's investing in assets and some day he's going to sell Forest. When he does he's going to want his money back plus some.

I'm ready to be proven wrong, but I don't think we or he are spending £790M to do this.

Or a half term week at Center Parcs for a family of 4 with 2 kids who go on everything.

But the stadium makes the asset more valuable if you want to sell it on. The payback doesn't only have to be in terms of cash earned.

Agreed, but if I'm taking on the liability as well as the asset I also want to see a timeline for a return. See: Seagrave
