Lolz Poch well pissed off with that second goal. Trossard seems to have stepped up since that to and fro with a teammate in the Senegal match. Also that De Ketelaete is a handsome fella.

Also enjoyed seeing the Robbie Savage wannabe flailing at De Ketelaere's feet as he nodded in.
Mind you, I saw some commentary on the Balogun red card from the other day, and Mark Clattenburg was the "expert."
I felt nauseous.
Kevin Kilbane is one of the talking heads for TSN and he was furious about the red card. He has been consistently wrong on pretty much everything through this tournament, I'm not convinced he hasn't been paid to be deliberately contrary.
I had to double check that wasn't Matt Turner
He's not clever enough for that.
Quite enjoyable, this
Uvavu! That was simultaneously hilarious and unsettling watching a capacity stadium packed with "go usa!" types, thinking this soccer lark is easy, not having a scooby what just hit them. Also nice to Axel (cue Beverly Hills Cop theme music) Witsel make an appearance
Don't get too excited yet, I'm hearing that Mike Pence may not certify Belgium's victory.
Finally figured it tonight. He reminds me of Lee Hendrie, who never played for Leeds or Charlton.
Donald Trump, Hulk Hogan, Walt Disney, Gianni Infantino... your boys took one hell of a beating.
So the position is that the tournament is hopelessly fixed in favour of the hosts but they forgot to fix the actual match? Or is it more a slight thumb on the scales in favour of the tournament being “a success”.
What position? I don't have a postition. Just observation. I don't know what the mission statement is, I just know (from what I see) that there is a manipulation in favour of monied interests over football interests. Why have a straight game, when you can rig the deck?
What's your position? That they have just made a mistake, contrary to the interests of a fair game, by accident? Again?
Belgium social media enjoyed that win: 'Overturn this'

FIFA want a successful tournament (in their terms). Which means full stadiums, making lots of money and getting talked about as globally as possible (proper expansion of the game into the states has been an aim for as long as I've been alive).
To that end, there's a soft bias in favour of host nations and big names (viz Ronaldo's suspended suspension, as well as Balogun's). But ultimately, the games aren't fixed, referees will make honest (if often wrong) decisions and eventually class will tell on the pitch. Last week there was lots of talk of the US winning it but look at who Belgium's players play for and who the US players play for, then think they'd have needed to get past Spain and then France...
A soft bias? What like Messi not being red-carded in the group stages for a clear, studs-up challenge?
