I understand that tournament football pulls in a bunch of people who don't usually watch much, if any, football. But, while he's a fucking good footballer, I don't recognise the general impression of Haaland as a totallly unstoppable barbarian. He, after all, played 180 minutes against us last season without scoring.
I mean... he is a pretty special talent who is in outrageously good form. I'm more willing to listen to people raving about Haaland than the endless ball washing of Christian Pulisic.
You can mark Haaland, but if a ball that he can get at comes in, he's beating you to it. Or he can run it in from the half way line. He's bigger, stronger, and quicker than you.
When he's least effective is when the Spanish dancers don't toss it in his direction. Something Norway are unlikely to miss.
He can't play a defence splitting 40 yard pass, a deft through ball on the turn to release your marauding winger, regularly score incredible goals from range or win you a game or draw on his own though. He's heavily reliant, as you say, on his physical advantages rather than any hyper elite technical ability. When he starts to slow down he'll still be decent because he'll still be big, and he can finish, but once he hits 28 he is likely to get worse rather than better. In fact he might turn into a slightly lower IQ version of Chris Wood.
