But they did increase NI. Or did they explicitly state Employees NI?

The claim was that employer's NI isn't a tax on working people. Bollocks but I'm foolish enough to prefer politicians who can at least pretend they aren't lying. Outright liars - Trump, Johnson are even more unhealthy.

Obviously would have been better if they'd just ignored Hunt's poison pill and reversed his NI cuts that he had no way of funding.

Once again you prove you cannot think. Jeremy Hunt was the chancellor who extended the freeze to April 2028.

So thinking about this, you're saying no decisions made by previous governments can be changed by the next government.

    No.

Despite saying you are, you're not thinking, again.

Sorry I don't understand then, why couldn't Healey reverse the freeze of Hunt?

I think the point is that maintaining current tax policy is not increasing tax. Removing the freeze would be a tax cut.

Nort sure about that. Freezing the allowance when inflation increases wages puts more people into higher tax bands and means they pay more tax.

Look at the new pension tax free allowance they've had to create to avoid taking back a chunk of the state pension increase. So pensioners have had a tax cut,?

Yes. But it was the guy wot froze it who raised tax, not the guy wot didn’t unfreeze it.

Bloke 1: Takes your money, gives it to their mates, makes you buy stuff you've already paid for, which they have given away so that people can charge you again and more for them.

Bloke 2: Wants to take a little bit more of your money, but will try to buy you nice things, and have you rely less on having to re-buy things.

Everyone else: The problem with bloke 2 is that they don't cut taxes more than bloke 1.

The cupboard is bare and and circumstance keeps kicking the economy in the bollocks. Austerity, Brexit and now the fucking mentallness of Trump and his wars. Im not smart enough to think of what a good policy for growth would be other tham fuck Trump, invest in sovereign manufacturing and tech, get closer to Europe and and strive particularly hard for energy independence. Also education because only thick cunts vote Reform/Restore

On that basis you think that talkback consists of approximately 6.25 live people, or roughly equivalent to the number of X contributors who are not bots.
