He's pretty good at making half time changes
Get through this half at one nil. Get Murillo, Sangare, MGW on the pitch. Absolutely nothing to lose, except the brains of MGW and a hamstring or two of Murillo.
If we want to progress, he’s going to have to
It's not as if Villa are doing anything unusual. McGinn, Buendia and Rogers buzzing around centrally with Watkins as the spearhead. It's what they do. And we don't seem to have an answer.
Buendia was class popping between the two defenders (if you can call someone like Cunha without any obvious defensive instincts a defender), and that's really the only moment that caused us real trouble (though there were a few wayward shots that should have).
Assume the intent was to cause them problems like we have to everyone else since we switched to this formation.
Whether it's the replacements or the opposition (or a bit of both) it ain't working here.
They haven’t done it for a while but are highly effectively tonight. Cunha looking a bit lost at RB.
We are unable to retain the ball. Forgot Jesus was playing. Long balls up to Wood are ineffective.
Vitor will have to decide what to do. Let it go and preserve the injured players? Or go for it?
Think bringing on Sangare for Jesus or Wood is key to shore up the midfield. Morgan would obviously give us more forward threat. Can't see we can do much about right back.
Using Hutch as more of an outlet wouldn't hurt either
We could have a bit better assistance in front of him.
It’s becoming a very difficult watch.
Must be a pen
We have been shit and we have been stupid.
Utterly fucking stupid.
The proper Villa have turned up. We are missing 4/5 first team players. Suspect this will be a hatful
Seems unfair for McCoist and Fletcher to criticise the ref for not seeing the pull when there's a player between him and the offence.
