Agree with POTS although it seems like Anderson will get that, but I didn't think Neco was anything special today. Was trying to decide who my MOTM today was, it's a harder one than usual - I think I'd just about give it to Milenkovic who was absolutely solid all game.

Think Anderson’s impending departure might make it go to Neco - he always gets a great reception post match and is very liked in the ground.

Neco is player of the season but MGW has come on leaps and bounds.

As for today MOM, I would think probably Sels. No-one was outstanding but he made some good saves and he managed to get us organised by a bit of shit housing.. Or maybe Vitor..for changing things up..

Glad we got across the line ..

I thought Bakwa started well but became intimidated and afraid to take Burns on. His diving and faked injuries were really annoying. As Old Brian said to me, Bakwa has the talent to be a good footballer. Just not got the brains.

We showed great character after going behind, considering the lack of fit players. A really good point.

A good pre-season and I reckon he'll be Our Elanga rather than Newcastle's Elanga.
Less sure what to do about Ndoye, who seems a good pro but without the higher ceiling. Neither of them delivered much of an upgrade on Silva and Sosa. But that can probably wait for a post-season review.

I just feel mightily relieved and very happy this evening that we’ve stayed up after a mental season, even by our standards.

Vitor has done a superb job and it will be nice to go to the Bournemouth game with nothing to play for as this season has been exhausting.

Decent point that. Even better by 6.30pm.

Pleased that Anderson (“he’s one of our own!”) bossed the game and scored a gem without trying to overdo everything like he sometimes does vs Newcastle. Neco played well. Nico looked gassed. Other players were ok. Netz is useful. Cunha looked composed. Morata had already made a couple of errors before Barnes (who else) did him for pace and skill. Taiwo showed his strengths and weaknesses. He created that chance through doggedness and then was unable to score.

Bakwa’s confidence is so shaky. First half I thought he started really well and had Dab Burn on toast. He then misplaced a pass in our half, briefly creating a pressure situation resulting in plenty of howls from the crowd. From then on, he looked more timid, even before Joelinton dropped back to double up. Hutch was effective. I thought McAttee, for the first time, looked like he had the extra time to spot and execute some nice stuff.

To be fair to Taiwo, that was an excellent tackle to prevent him scoring.

Taiwo seems like a very nice guy but I’d sell the fucker just because of the t-shirts and the cunty shin pads

I think Taiwo and Jesus are not as effective as Wood and Jesus. Which is a bit Alannis given how religious he is.

He looks very slow. Not sure you can make a Premier League career as a full back unless you have a decent turn of pace.

I don't think he is that slow.

At least three times today he wasted an opening because he couldn't keep up with Hall, who I don't think is especially rapid. Maybe he was just playing flat footed but either way I'm not convinced. Serviceable backup maybe but he doesn't look capable of creating or closing a gap.

James Perch said similar on Radio Nottingham after the game and, regardless of your view on Perchy, he knows a lot more about playing full-back professionally than any of us.
