Brilliant awareness from McAtee and a superb finish. Just need to hold on now.

Those little short early reverse passes are gems at creating opportunity, by shifting the angle of attack. A lot of heavy lifting still to be done by Anderson (ball behind him, at the pace he was moving). Nevertheless, gorgeous piece of creativity. And not his first or last.

Newcastle weren't great but Bruno and Joelinton (who is the dirtiest fucker in the league) are always a problem. kind of some lolz for seeing Elanga look sad on the bench.

We fought for that. We were knackered but made it work. Ando in my opinion should alway be further forward. You can see what he can do. McAtee lovely pass for the goal and I am still confused why he was subbed against Villa. He maybe not robust (although it does look like he has put on muscle) but he can pass. Anyway it worked. Morato by the way wasn't terrible today. He got out run by Barnes but the rest of the game he was decent and his passing was actually very good. Just thought we were dead on our feet. Pity Bakwa doesn't have 90 in him. He has talent.

By the way. The title of this thread was mad enough to get a result today. Well done. none of this boring club vs club shit....

We are safe and even though the season is ending as it is I found it to be more relief than disappointment. I see Villa were shit today. Those fuckers...

Anyway, cunt off Nuno and also Spuds down for the lolz and I also don't trust them to not come back for MGW in the summer.

Next two games don't matter than much but I do hate Bruno Fernandes's face and I utterly detest Bournmuff, because they are annoying.

Quick prediction. Sunderland down next season...

    Chicago: Feeling relief.

Morato has had lots of close calls and now we’ve paid for it. He doesn’t even need to be on the pitch.

Who exactly are you going play in his place - we don’t have anyone else… we’re also suffering the effects of Europe, as others have said.

Just need Arsenal not to fuck up this afternoon

How about a tub of lard?

For stretches of the second half Morato was the closest thing we had to a playmaker, which is something of a problem. Another game where the point of McAtee becomes clearer.

Finally a week off, be interesting to see if any of the absentees make it back for Old Trafford.

I thought Bakwa started well but became intimidated and afraid to take Burns on. His diving and faked injuries were really annoying. As Old Brian said to me, Bakwa has the talent to be a good footballer. Just not got the brains.

We showed great character after going behind, considering the lack of fit players. A really good point.

Think they got Joelinton out to cover after the early stages. Certainly looked like he usually was facing up to two.

Even though we did it, those fake injury timeouts should be stopped. Make the players gather in the centre circle when a goalkeeper is getting treatment. Although it would be good to see referees enforce the existing rule on the technical area. Tisdale was stood with Howe for most of the second half.

Was Dom injured or was that tactical to bring Yates on? He was awful and it never helps when he picks up the inevitable early booking.

Yes, it seemed a strange one at the time. I saw Yates warming up at half time and assumed he'd be on for either a forward or centre half.

He looks very slow. Not sure you can make a Premier League career as a full back unless you have a decent turn of pace.

On the subject of fullbacks, how good was Neco, again? His tenacity is only matched by Anderson and he gives us so many options. I’d give him player of the season.

Agree with POTS although it seems like Anderson will get that, but I didn't think Neco was anything special today. Was trying to decide who my MOTM today was, it's a harder one than usual - I think I'd just about give it to Milenkovic who was absolutely solid all game.
