Villa have been shite recently, as evidenced by the game v us if this is apparently the competition they're really pushing for.

Obviously it counts for nothing but I suspect a lot more neutrals will be rooting for us on Thursday now.

Why? That wasn't Villa playing today so don't see it has much bearing on Thursday other than a positive for them as players have more rest which is generally seen as a good thing.

    I doubt it.

He’s thrown a game. They will likely beat us on Thursday with a rested full strength side and then beat Burnley to ensure CL football. There is nothing anyone can do about it

What irritates me is what a whiny fucking bitch Emery was about VAR/Anderson and then he pulls this stunt.

He’s definitely high on my cunt list

When we get at least a point tomorrow and then survive on Thursday I will be calling the biggest Gay Week EVER.

    Strap in. And on.

I mean... he's not unjustified to be complaining about VAR's lack of intervention given how pivotal it was to the game that the guy who should have been sent off and then suspended for the second leg ran the entire game for us. And today wasn't a stunt, it was a business decision - they've got 5th all but locked down now, and the UEFA Cup is a huge opportunity for their first silverware in 30 years, so he would have been dumb to do anything but what he did.

I see your correctly, not arguing that Emery is a cunt though.

  • 4 May 2026, 12:49 a.m.

    Whatever. He’s a whiny cunt.

Re the red card: I actually saw Watkins’ retaliatory rugby tackle on Anderson as more dangerous and premeditated.
