I really like Cardiff, it's the one Welsh city that looks like it isn't 1976 still.

I have some very found memories of Cardiff but they date from the early 90’s…

Can't remember where the recent chat about AI was, so will put this cheery piece here.

Walking through Cardiff, from memory the bit between the bay and the centre, is the only time in my life I've expected to be mugged or stabbed at any moment. And I've walked through a lot of cities. This was about 20 years ago and I imagine it's still a shithole.

The bay to city centre walk is now a pleasant stroll, they're just finishing construction of a 15,000 seater arena at the bay end of the walk. The Cardiff Bay railway station has been redeveloped. The bay area itself is not my thing, just a bland modern cafe dining area with big chain bollocks restaurants like Giggling Squid, with the standard Wetherspoons option. A few independents, but nothing great. Watched Forest Vs Arsenal in a pub there a couple of years ago. £7 a pint, bastards. And walked back to my hotel late without feeling unsafe.

Saw this and thought of tricky. It has an LTE module coming to pre order soon.

I too really liked Cardiff while I was there.

It's a really very nice place to live.

I'd definitely consider relocating there again if the opportunity came up to have another go at it without that whole almost being dead bit.

What did you think? 'Ah, tricky will think this is genuinely awful because of the terrible lego design, and impractical platform'?

I actually thought you might have already built something similar with a Raspberry Pi and a 3D printer.

Yesterday some fucknut suggested I had a far more cultured time in Australia than he did, when he found himself.

In fairness, if it's who I think it is, finding him might be considered a bad result. I'd want to lose myself.

I had previously removed the rubber feet from a piece of equipment. What I hadn't noticed was that they are actually a different height from front to rear. Yet on removing them the next time, to make a further adjustment, I couldn't help but notice that I had accidentally put the correct feet, in the correct places.
