Catching up on my emails, I noticed "You have won a prize" from the National Robbery.

Apparently, there are now 2 draws per game.

Of my 6 numbers, 3 came in on draw 1, with other 3 coming in on draw 2.

    20 quid.

I mean, I realise that doesn't mean I 'nearly won' orbanything, as they are effectivey different games, but still. Bugger.

Went to the barber's yesterday. Fella in front of me was getting his ear and nose hair waxed - looked every bit as unpleasant as it sounds.

Ive had the ears waxed. Effective. A few weeks ago i was at a leaving do where an old chap i was talking to had a tropical Forest of ear hair. Had a gravitational pull on my eyes.

I had a Turkish shave on holiday many years ago with the full cut-throat razor action. It was awesome.

That barber's technique for hair removal involved lighting a splint and wafting the naked flame around your ears. Effective...

Just had that done as part of the haircut routine at the barbers up the road.

It's discussions like this that remind me how pleased I am that I chose the 'I cut my own hair' route.

Do you also take a naked flame to your own face? It would explain a lot.

I have reviewed the requirements for adjusting my facial appearance, and concluded 'why mess with perfection'.

    I hope that helps.

If he did it would be a bit unfair on all those patient folk waiting in the queue.

Was idly reading some online reviews of a villa we stayed in a few months ago. These people had similar experiences to us, I thought. Scrolled down and found my name at the bottom. I’d written the review.

Why are you reading Google reviews for somewhere you stayed a few months ago?

Charlie is of the age he can't remember what things were like, so he uses the Google reviews feature to remind himself of his opinion.

We stayed in a lovely house in Cornwall in the summer. I wasn’t put off by the review I’d read before booking which highlighted it didn’t have a garlic press.
