This world in which Chic and I are pretty much completely in agreement is weird but I don't entirely dislike it.

Not sure that I referred to Ange in my post at all. Or indeed was screaming after a couple of weeks. Happy to be proven wrong. But I think you’ll find you’re making it up. I was happy to see him go in the end. He came in and talked about himself and Spurs. A lot. He slagged off the players’ fitness and tactical inflexibility. And then talked about himself and Spurs.

I was also reluctantly happy with Dyche. Vitor did a terrific job. But his past record over many years demonstrated that he was going to be short term.

The point I’m making (“banging on”) is that three games is quite a short period of time to make your mind up. But you and Russ do you. (Or each other if you prefer.)

Leave Russ alone. We go through a lot of managers and someone has got to poo-poo the latest after ten minutes. There’s no Donny anymore so the group needs to step up and we’ll all have to take a turn eventually.

Yep. Russ's commentary and reasoning on here on most subjects is always sound, but he appears here to have decided that Glasner isn't for him on the evidence of a few pre-season kick-abouts and three Premier League fixtures.

I'd be inclined to allow a little more time, but maybe he's right. Hope he isn't, obviously.

Yes I admired the guys who kept banging on about how Cloughy was taking us down the pan for 18 years and of course they were right. We eventually ended up in League One because of him.

Just for the matter of record m’lud. The only manager I have hated and wanted sacked was Megson. I wanted to give Hughton more time even when we were floundering. So what do I know? Last season I was apathetic to our managers apart from Vitor (Nuno was engineering his way out), who made us play some lovely stuff. Even if the first half agqinst Burnley was very dodgy.

I am not a proponent of getting rid of Glasner. I just think that he is not utilizing the players to their strengths right now and imposing a system that is dull. Will it bring us success? Not really sure. Maybe it will click in the cup. In the league I expect attritional results. So yeah we will be fine but I would like the team to be a bit more fun to watch. Especially if we are looking to counter which is a bit more difficult with slower players. I do love the game and obviously results are importantly but silly me would like to be entertained.

Early days of course but I can see players like Aina, CHO (whom I believe is probably the most talented player behind Morgan) Dom and Yatesy being marginalised.

Ah the irrational thoughts of a football fan. And also Austrians are all dodgy aren’t they?

Not that any of this matters because the Premier league is about the big six anyway and the other clubs don’t really have much of a chance especially with Citeh and Chelsea cheating the fuck out of the system and getting away with it.

Glasner did ok by Eze and Olise. I don't think he'll marginalise talented players.

They were regulars jn the side before he got there. Also did Olise get sold to Bayern before he took over?

Also being big in the premier league against top notch defenders probably doesn't cut it. Kolo Muani failed miserably at Spuds. Weghorst failed miserably at Utd (apart from against us of course).

Also Palace had already signed Mateta and Wharton was a Doogie transfer. I have no doubt Glasner will improve some players but we generally have regulars here who are very good players. Will they be given a chance?

No - it was the summer after Glasner joined. They went from Palace regulars to Bayern and Arsenal under Glasner.

So he made them into better players and won them two trophies but what else did Glasner do for Palace?
