Re: Cunha, if all the football savants on here could see his quality last season (and I do remember a number saying so), then does Glasner get credit for anything other than playing him? And let's not try and make a case that it's somehow a case of good asset management given a) it seems to be coming at the cost of Milenkovic who is clearly less suited to playing as part of a three, and b) we bought him a very expensive centre half who can't get on the pitch.

I'm not trying to make any case. I'm making the point, again, that whatever we are trying to do with Glasner it isn't maximization of our existing resources, and the whole "he makes players better" narrative is at best unproven.

Exactly. The point is, from the angles available to the VAR, he couldn’t determine factually that the ball hit Neco’s arm. Just because it’s been determined subsequently, by other angles, that it did, doesn’t change that.

Key Match Incidents Panel universally found that a) it was handball and b) VAR was correct to intervene and rule it out.
