Can we address a wider point here. This place is excellent because it first shunned smileys, then memes and ultimately pretty much all social content unless it was particularly pertinent to supporting an argument.
Arguing via the medium of AI is the sum of all these ills and then some. I suggest a 1 month ban for Jim.

There’s a better case for Eze than Olise but it probably (in both cases) had a lot to do with them staying fit for extended periods, which hadn’t happened much before. As a minimum, playing in this shape didn’t harm their reputation and must have enhanced it a bit.

So it could be argued that Glasner kept them fit in a formation that enhanced their reputations? I don't really understand the objection when Palace clearly improved in systems, talent, and performance in his time there. Yes it sucks for the likes of CHO who can't wing-back and isn't wanted at 10, but good news for a bunch of others. Cunha, for example, looks a massive talent and has already had way more minutes than he would have with 4-4-2.

I was banging on about Cunha last season and saw him as a major talent. I think Bald angry Jim don't caps lock 7 made fun of me for it. Vitor started playing him first. Dyche basically shipped him to the stiffs. Glasner has wisely utilised him. I said that defence wasn't a problem. Also before Glasner got there (palace), Olise was going to go to Man Citeh after they triggered his clause. Seems like it was a MGW situation and Palace said it was illegal and kept him for one more season. Olise plucked by doogie as with Eze were major talents anyway. You cannot give Glasner that credit. They were already well on their way. I say Dougie was the one to thank for that.
Lacroix, Guéhi and Mateta improved under him. That is for certain. Although defence seems to be his specialty (yes I know Jean Phillipe is a striker before Pedant), He Probably did a good job with Wharton (as he is doing with McAtee) so apples and onions.
We are a different proposition. I think this season will be a bit Nuno first season without the points reduction. That's all. I have also stated multiple times that I hope I am wrong.

Pretty sure most people here agreed with that, but my point is that he'd not play much if everyone was fit, given Milenkovic seems undroppable.
Where or not it works is a perfectly fair question. Whether Glasner was effective at Palace is not. -

Don't think anyone was down on him (the centre-back, not the talkback protagonists). Three at the back means he gets more games - because this formation requires another one, and when we only needed two he wasn't one of those.
So well done Galsner, yay for making him a better player, by giving him games.
What is interesting, is that this 'making players better' comes at the cost of 'making players worse'. In this case wingers, predominantly.
Some players will disappear without trace, because they are not fancied (or don't fit), when in other circumstances they may have gone on to be superstars. Like HK of Totteningham, who could easily have sunk without trace multiple times if that basket case of a 'top' club was heading anywhere, or needed players who could actually run. But instead got time and games.
So we never really know how much of an upside the 'positive' development is...because you can't also see the opportunity cost. Unless it's a bonkers quick development. If it's slow, at the cost of lots of games, and lots of bad results on the way, even an eventual upside can be a bad deal.

Regarding CHO, he has been terrific at times but not, as far as I can recall, in the last 12 months. Seems to have lost both pace and confidence.

Re: Cunha, if all the football savants on here could see his quality last season (and I do remember a number saying so), then does Glasner get credit for anything other than playing him? And let's not try and make a case that it's somehow a case of good asset management given a) it seems to be coming at the cost of Milenkovic who is clearly less suited to playing as part of a three, and b) we bought him a very expensive centre half who can't get on the pitch.
