The only good news I can get out of this game are that the Spuds are hilariously wank.
The bad news is even in our so called pants season last year we beat Liverpool at Anfield. Leeds and Spuds at home with 3 goals being scored in each game. Compared with that we are doing hellaciously worse. I assume Glasner has been brought in to get points against Fulham and Bournmouth etc etc.
We will be fine but I don’t see a mega exciting season ahead unless Baker burner gets twitchy because we are not top of the league by 20 points.
The thing that bothers me is Vitor made a point to include everyone. I can see from Glasner bugger all minutes for CHO, Kali, Yatesy and Dom. Again, hope I am wrong. I see tactical inflexibility and a fuck ton of draws. Villa And Cov will be interesting…. Maybe.

Yes indeed. I said after the first Leeds game that I cant see us conceding many but I'm not sure how we are trying to create chances. It still stands. It's all a bit stodgy.

I don't agree. The ball is behind/in-between his arm. The first image is after he's headed it, and the ball is actually moving away from him and past his arm. The second shot is as he's heading it and the ball is between his arms.
I also just believe Neco in this interview. He's so insistent. I don't think he would be if he was lying.

I'm sure Glasner is a decent manager and I hope this improves but appointing him just seems like such basic thinking. "I want to win a trophy, he's won trophies." That just isn't how it works and is the same thinking that appoints Ange because he's won the Europa league or a series of managers because they've won promotion.

To be fair he improved pretty much every player in that Crystal Palace team too. Eze, Sarr, Munoz, Mateta, Wharton, Guehi .. others .. are all rated much higher than before they joined.
Of course there are players who didn't too. The lad from Arsenal a prime example.
I'd have been very happy to have kept Vitor, but we are where we are and I'm trying to be positive for a while.

If that's the primary criterion upon which we're judging a manager we should have just brought back SSC for about a fifth of what we're paying Glasner.

What is it from a manager that you want other than "win games" ? Because that's very reductive. You don't "win games" without it being part of a set of attributes.

Has won trophies - tick
Clear identity in football style - tick
Wins games - tickOn paper he's an upgrade on every manager we've had since getting back to the PL isn't he? You're just unhappy we've not won a game yet.
