Sewing machines are pretty heavy, make him curl it. Weight is weight.
I've struggled to recover properly from doing a half a few weeks back. Running has been quite shockingly fucked though I've persevered with snack sized runs. Imagine my joy at noticing the ill judged trail 10 with plenty of elevation I'm booked onto on Tuesday. When England are playing.
Never had a bigger smile on my face than this morning on the bike, back in Italy for a month so went out on one of my favorite routes ahead of a longer ride tomorrow. Caught up with a local group en-route and rode with them for a couple of miles, which was fun in itself but then when we got to the next climb, I dropped them..
What the fuck, that rarely happens here as I’m riding at sea level back in the US, and they are locals used to riding at altitude in the hills - we’re about 600 meters up here.
Never felt so good. Permanent smile on my face for the rest of today.
For some reason, I decided at 10.30pm last night that I was going to book a swim session first thing this morning. No idea where that came from - not been in a pool for years.
Really enjoyed it and will definitely be trying to make it a regular Saturday thing. Tracked the swim on my Garmin, too, which I've not done before.
Is it's not Strava, it didn't happen.
Tonights 10K trail run at Lyme Park has been cancelled due to potential death. I didn't bail. Feel manly.
I hope to be playing football. Will insist on my personal paramedic being in attendance (as I have for a few years now).
Thinking of upgrading my Garmin watch and potentially starting to work my way up to half--marathon distance. Never run that far before (think 11 miles is the most I've done). Entered the disappointment ballot for the London Landmarks half this morning.
I don't necessarily need a new watch but I'm a) a twat, b) a sucker for new tech, and c) still have some decent resale value in my current device.
I ordered a second-hand Pixel Watch 2 yesterday from BackMarket for £50. The watch I have at the moment is a basic Garmin and I thought I'd see if I like a more modern smart watch without paying top dollar for it as a trial. This kind of thing.
