This needs it's own thread. Yes, it's a moral clusterfuck and we are bound to loose some games to the weather/politics/guns/drug cartels/Due South but it is what it is.

I didn't even realise there was a second game last night/this morning/whenever the fuck it was.
It was good, and very satisfying that the Czech goon squad were beaten by the technical but lightweight Koreans. The equaliser was a delightful finish.
How long will it take for the broadcasters to realise the refcam view is almost always shit and unwatchable?
From the highlights it looked like the Czechs were trying to mimic Arsenal and score from set pieces, with the Koreans dominating.
Think there was a Midtjylland guy playing for Korea which I found pleasing.
Watched these highlights, www.youtube.com/watch?v=VliZkhC7yX4 thinking that Andy Townsend must have had some medical problem that changed his voice so much. Then checked back at the end and realised it was Andros Townsend.
Also, why haven't the BBC got a 30 minute MotD every morning showing the previous night's match highlights with a bit of analysis? Would it just be me recording it to watch later?
Yes, pretty much. The offside goal was the most satisfying disallowal(?) I've seen in ages.
Not what you were asking for but found this link which takes you to highlights without any score spoilers.
Oh that's good. Well done BBC.
Would it just be me recording it to watch later?
Yes. On account if it being 2026 now and no one really needing to record anything anymore.
...except for the spoiler.
Die thread tournament football, die.

Strangely, I'm less concerned about that than the US refusal to give the Somalian referee a permit. But I do think a condition for hosting major sports tournaments is letting the participants in, even if they are (unconvicted) rapists or from countries you aren't fond of.
Canada (and Hull) winger Liam Millar looks useful. Bit of a Grealish-lite.
Canada seem to be very good at all the things that don't matter without the other bits.
So they bring on someone who only does the bit that matters.
