I'm way past retirement age but am still working, although not full on.

This pisses me off. People in their early 20s can't find jobs because old cunts are holding on.

Doesn't help that government policy is pushing people to work longer, whilst not providing the additional jobs required for that expanded workforce.

Whilst I'm ranting. Further evidence of boomers sitting around fucking the world up. 1997 America elected a president born in 1997. 2007, sitting president born in 1947. 2017, elected a president born in 1947. 2027 sitting president, born in 1947 (unless he dies first). Boomers, time to exit exit stage left. You've got more wealth than any generation that follows will have. You've made sure of that by voting for Brexit and Trump. Knobs.

Mrs Dunc tells me that this is a lesson learned - never fear the worst and always approach things with a "glass half full" attitude.

"And for your punishment" she says "You're going to have to watch Forest against Man City on the telly tonight"

I think she was partially right

Just been to a new optician because my old one was being useless. I've worn contacts for close on 30 years, but recently my close vision has started being problematic so she has me trialing multifocal lenses. I've only been wearing them an hour and they're already a massive improvement over my previous ones.

Also, she told me I have beautiful corneas.

When I was about 22 and living in WB I had a new optician for my appointment, she was about 25-26 I think. She was pretty hot. She noted in one appointment she had a bf, but was incredibly flirty. After my third appointment in a two-weeks (which looking back she'd clearly contrived) she gave me her phone number and address and said if I was having any issues getting my lenses out later then to come over. I was a bit intimidated, especially given the mention of a boyfriend, to make the move. She left for another opticians by the next time I went there 6 months later. Still regret it.

If he was a few miles in he must have been feeling a big horse.
