I saw her in the West End in Legally Blonde, Funny Girl, Opening Night and Woman in Mind which are bit different.
(Shirley Valentine too which isn't different).

Could not disagree with you more. The perfect ending to one of the greatest TV shows I've ever watched.
I've just found out that today is the last ever broadcast of "Football Focus". Kinda sad, especially with the nostalgia they showcased today, but I hardly ever watched it anymore -- which apparently was part of the problem.
Finding Dear England very enjoyable.
I hated the play. Feelgood, lightweight nonsense which barely scratched the surface of a lot of important issues and portrayed Southgate as some sort of Rodinesque thinker trying to handle some thick footballers. Good for people who don’t know anything about football and get frothy during the World Cup and Euros (men’s or women’s)
Is the TV show any better?
I haven't seen the play so can't really compare but it passed a pleasant hour with Sunday night wine and brought back some memories of when I used to care more about watching England. And whilst not all of the casting is perfect some of the lookalikes (Kane, Maguire, Saka) are incredible.
I enjoyed the play, it's not a documentary, just some light entertainment loosely centred around some real life events (like The Crown).
Not seen the TV version yet.
@Ingo I assume you have seen that there is a new season of Clarkson's Farm on Amazon? I haven't started it yet but I assume it's more of the same.
Better than Clarksons Farm, Pemberton Farm
.
We are only 1 and half episodes in so I'm not sure what the story arc is yet other than Farmers vs Government (which will no doubt land like a chopper on here) but yes it's more of the same. The main cast members are more comfortable on camera which does take away a bit of the fun but the language is increasingly agricultural which is excellent.
On the way back from Holiday last month we did a stop over in Whitney so went to the pub and revisited the farm shop. The farm shop used to sell a lot of merch but is now just food, the milk dispenser machine is brilliant, proper fresh milk cold as fuck. Then we had a table booked for dinner. Contrary to the image portrayed in the show I don't think I've ever been to a better run pub, and I've been to a lot of pubs.

Don't get me started...
I very very nearly tagged you at this point.
Widow’s Bay is fucking fantastic. Character comedy without being slapstick, unnerving horror without relying on gore or too many jump scares.
I don’t know whether anyone on here will get this reference but I’ve heard it described as Gravity Falls (my kids are big fans) for adults and I’m struggling to think of a better comparison.
It's very good with some fantastic performances, like a few Apple shows I felt it could have been a couple of eps shorter though.
Really liked Widows Bay and definitely didn't think there were too many (I didn't need the full flashback episode but it was fine). Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed is pretty good as well (albeit not at the same level). Found Spider Noir a bit dull.
We (Senora Mus and I) recently watched the Pan Am 103 series on Netflix- would recommend, particularly on those rainy days when you can’t be outside.
I feel like there’s a trend, maybe started/refined by Vince Gilligan?, to throw in full episodes that just meander with some characters.. rather than moving the plot along at all.. personally I’m a fan.. but it’s an adjustment.
(I see Vince Gilligan’s influence in a lot of shows these days.. in various ways.. I reckon he’s had a monumental impact on ‘prestige TV’ genre.)
Pine Barrons and the episode where Tony is in hospital hallucinating?
Also Widows Bay is episodic almost to the point of being an anthology where every episode is a slightly comedic take on a horror trope (Michael Myers, Carrie, haunted house) but has a through line, so most of the episodes are a diversion from the underlying story in one way or another.
Just watched the first episode of Lioness S2. Taylor Sheridan just does not miss. It gives me the same feeling 24 did when it first started, it's genuinely thrilling television with real bite.
