I saw her in the West End in Legally Blonde, Funny Girl, Opening Night and Woman in Mind which are bit different.
(Shirley Valentine too which isn't different).

Could not disagree with you more. The perfect ending to one of the greatest TV shows I've ever watched.
I've just found out that today is the last ever broadcast of "Football Focus". Kinda sad, especially with the nostalgia they showcased today, but I hardly ever watched it anymore -- which apparently was part of the problem.
Finding Dear England very enjoyable.
I hated the play. Feelgood, lightweight nonsense which barely scratched the surface of a lot of important issues and portrayed Southgate as some sort of Rodinesque thinker trying to handle some thick footballers. Good for people who don’t know anything about football and get frothy during the World Cup and Euros (men’s or women’s)
Is the TV show any better?
I haven't seen the play so can't really compare but it passed a pleasant hour with Sunday night wine and brought back some memories of when I used to care more about watching England. And whilst not all of the casting is perfect some of the lookalikes (Kane, Maguire, Saka) are incredible.
I enjoyed the play, it's not a documentary, just some light entertainment loosely centred around some real life events (like The Crown).
Not seen the TV version yet.
