Villa pulled out of signing this full back Ordonez because of concerns over his foot injury, so Palace jumped in and agreed to sign him... right up until he took a medical and then they said "uh, he's a bit broken".
Is it worth persevering with a player who fits your system and might have big potential?
And when he doesn't fit your system it becomes a way easier choice.
I still blame Nuno in part for flouncing, but Edu's legacy is pretty awful.
Nuno has been adequately punished with an extended spell at Wet Hams. Not sure what can be done about Edu squandering the advances that Nuno's spell made.
Harrison Armstrong for £40m from Everton. Means about as much to me as Eliot Anderson from Newcastle did at the time - know nothing about him.
Also the double surname name and Everton fans being angry that a promising local lad may be coming to us. Just need to include John Victor in the deal somehow now.
I guess the only issue is that he's competing with James Garner and Hayden Hackney for playing time, and Everton don't have any kind of European competition.
