Spurs supposedly interested in Neco but Forest have told them they're not interested in selling him. Let's see though, Spurs aren't afraid of making outrageous offers and everyone has their price.

Palace have turned down £25M from Villa for Mateta and want £40M for him. That's very rich for a 29 year old with a chronic knee problem, a year left on his deal, and a history of being a pain in the ass.
Who's also trying to sue to get out of his contract!
Also a massive downgrade on Watkins but I guess they are looking for a stopgap, so that they can ease Madjo in.
Are we buying a Brazilian. 20 year old from Corinthians. Andre. Not the one already in England but a new one. The New Ando. I guess everyone is the new Ando nowadays. Apart from the actual Ando who probably will want to come back to Forest or Newcastle one he realizes money isn't everything and Haarland won't share the sauna with him.
Anyway. I suspect there is going to be some mental transfer madness Forest style coming up in the next week. Rumours of another striker over Delap. Would Woody go rejoin Nuno at Wet Sham? Hope not but it is his last season with us so possible.
All this for a mid table berth. Crazy crazy...
Chicago: Playing Football manager 2001.
Neco is decent but far from irreplaceable.
Definitely would be the right time to sell from a business point of view.
Providing we got a decent replacement, which is often the tricky bit.
I’m just hoping that whoever Forest gets (does look like it’ll be Delap) is the type of player who might get on the end of the defense splitting pass(es?) Murillo made at the weekend and has the pace/strength to hold off the opposing player(s).
I thought Wood did well but he was never going to get enough space to get anything other than the off-target snap shot he took.
I realize that every club even close to selling will try to get everything they can thanks to the Ando money. Hopefully, the rumors that Delap is a loan are true.
A quicker player would have taken the ball another few yards towards goal, but he knew he'd be caught so snatched at it.
Only makes sense as a loan if we can fix the potential purchase price now. Otherwise, if he's a success, Chelsea will sell him for more than we can afford and if he's a failure we won't want him, so either way (barring the middle ground where he does well enough that we'll pay something but not well enough to put him in demand) we are back in the same place next summer, except with Wood out of contract.
He had the position, strength and quality of ball to take a breath and get a clean strike off. He fucked it up. Happens.
The only world where selling Neco makes any sense at all is one where have someone else to play left back or right back. I wouldn't want to be playing all my confidence on Netz at this stage, Ola is unlikely to stay injury free, Savona is injured and not good enough for this system, Moreira is not good enough for the premier league yet and may never be and Dodo (if he even signs) sounds like he could be a bit shit. Fullbacks are a weak spot let's not make it weaker for the sake of some cash which has no value at all to any of us.
Remember when it was put around that Marinakis wanted us to operate like Brighton? That would involve cashing out at high value and already having the replacement under contract ready to go.
I realise he wasn't really being serious about that intent.
Who are we picking at left back against Liverpool on Saturday if we sell Neco then?
Sell him and it'll be Morato and Or Murillo there when Netz falters and Aija is injured.
If Netz isn’t good enough to replace Williams, why did we sign him?
In the hope that he might be. But based on performances, he is not close yet in my view. Glasner has also gone on record saying we have sold one key player, he doesn't expect any more this season. Way to piss off you're already slightly stroppy by nature shiny new manager who thinks we're lacking at fullback already. We have no financial need to sell after the Anderson money. It would be foolish and the kind of decision which could see us invite another 5 managers in 12 months and relegate us.
Here we go on Delap. 45m.
