I'd just like to point out, if there is any veracity to this stated scenario, that suggested punishment is woefully inadequate.

Yes it would need to be relegation to Div 2 or punishment over a number of seasons like the same as the number of seasons they were cheating.

In better news; the seemingly demented mission to promote Boro can continue.

Not even sure there is one at Nottm is there? And I'll be surprised if it's open at 11pm for my train back.

Generally only the biggest or terminus stations have left luggage these days. When I went to Newcastle away a few years ago I was going to Leeds for work straight after. No left luggage at Newcastle station. I ended up using some bag drop company which entailed leaving my bag with a newsagent somewhere near the station.

Yeah I've used them before. It's fine. But much more convenient to take it with me obviously.

30,000 at Wembley for the league 2 po final? How much better would the atmosphere have been at Villa Park?

The people of Salford get over excited on a day trip to Manchester. Wembley would have been beyond them.

This. Also this for FA Cup semi-finals. As much as it is a bit of a wankness, the fact that City have cheated so much they are bored of winning shouldn't stop the rest of us getting a big day out.

Arsenal are the first team in Premier League history to go the full season without getting a red card or conceding a penalty. Cloughie would approve.

I'm sure tricky has a theory on this though.

You don't have to go very far back to find evidence that this statistic shouldn't exist. Specifically the Havertz challenge a couple of games ago. A challenge that anyone with a passing acquaintance with football and the laws could see was a clear straight red. That is anyone apart from the officials on the day, who had the benefit of multiple angles, and the opportunity to stop the game, analyse, and apply appropriate sanction. And didn't.

I'm sure that you can contort yourself into a position where this is entirely explainable, as just an accident. Another one.

    An addendum to this.

    www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvgzl2gmvrzo has written:

data logged by the Premier League's key match incidents (KMI) panel shows that Arsenal should have conceded three penalties and received three red cards.

Although of course this assessment of the number of 'errors' doesn't take into account the attritional effect of all the micro biases - decisions made, or not made, outside of phases of play scrutinised by VAR, or not deemed a sufficiently high bar for intervention.

Grand Central Station doesn't. Or at least didn't the last time I needed one in the late 00s.

I know this because I once foolishly assumed there would be when presented with an opportunity to kill 14 hours in NYC before my flight home after a routine week in Danbury CT ended a day early, and so ended up trundling my case behind me a few blocks looking for the slightly questionable backstreet haberdashery a station worker put me onto that also offered such a short term luggage storage service at a reasonable price. Despite having to ascend a metal fire escape to get to it.

    True story.

TNT Sports just said only one team have defended the Champions League. Which is semantically true but it's the same trophy that many teams defended over the years.

Gerrard just said if it's a game of football then Arsenal will lose. Which tells you everything you need to know about Arsenal.
