That’s two fairly shit performances in a row. Glasner has a history of starting slowly but you wonder if Marinakis’s sacking urge will get twitchy if we are in the bottom three during the international break.

Awful night. Surrounded by absolute bellends in the upper clough. Coked up knobs in front shouting utter shit all game and feral screaming and swearing kids behind us. Fuck cup matches.
Hard to find any positives from that performance. Schlager looks way off the pace. Wood does as well (more than normal). Too much (aimless) long ball. And no real signs that we had a method for creating chances other than pouncing on mistakes.
I said on Saturday that i thought we'd be defensively ok, and I still do, especially with Sangare in front of the 3. I like the look of the new centre half. Creating chances looks a huge issue though, and we can't rely on MGW and Murillo to be the only players to make incisive passes. I hope we are bluffing when we say we dont necessarily need a midfielder. There is, unsurprisingly, a huge anderson sized hole, and I don't see an effective solution at present to either replace him or find a different way of playing.
