People seem obsessed with the in game management of the German troll. I'm more concerned about the myriad of mistakes, including not picking the best players having cover and setting out with a game plan that won't last a summer tournament particularly without rotation, that leads to those inevitable in game management 'mistakes'.
I'm not demonizing him because of the individual not picking MGW choice. But I cant get past all the others.
I also would pick MGW because, though he might not get in my choice of elite tens (nor would palmer, he only really works right side), I think he can add rotation at eight or wide either side - and also a pushed up ten if you play a two (as you might when chasing a game).

The problem is that dicks like you in journalism are so sure of your own opinions, and equally are so superficial in your analysis, that you appear to have missed the blindingly obvious in front of your eyes with the benefit of a bit of thinking. Herr Baldrick's cunning plan was based on not the best footballers, and not taking them even in the squad so that there was no alternative but to play a style of play not suited to the conditions, and no viable alternative (and insufficient possible rotation). This no plan 'b' approach led to the inevitable clusterfuck when a plan 'b' was needed. While if it had come off he might well have been lauded for his reckless genius, as it is he should be punted out of the job with a size nine lodged in his rectum.
