They are such different players but they both have high level attributes in fairly unusual areas for centre halves. Murillo obviously his passing and dribbling ability. Jair Cunha is very tall even for a centre half and very fast with it, it's not unusual to have a very tall or very fast centre half but the combo of both is quite unusual.

Too early to wonder whether Delap might be in the next england squad? Watkins probably hasn't excluded himself (though he should have) but, as his dad played for ireland, and with so few qualified strikers available, the fa might be pushing to get him committed.

Can I say something controversial? All of the people he could get picked ahead of - Palmer, Eze, Rogers, Bellingham are also pretty good at football. I'd take Gibbs-White ahead of Eze but it's not like he's picking Rudoni or Maddison ahead of him.

If Gibbs-White wore the shirt of a 'big six' club every week, we wouldn't be having any kind of debate because there would be mass uproar if he continued to miss out on England squads.

There's room for him amongst those. It's not 1 of 10. Without even giving it much thought the WC squad had for example Madueke, Henderson and Mainoo in it - he should have been ahead of all those.
