"The thinking, we called Trevoh Chalobah up to free up Jarrel Quansah on the right full-back position. I saw him very strong playing that position for Liverpool and he played in a back three which is not so far away from that position, for Leverkusen. And we have Djed Spence. No one could see that coming. Reece was in good shape and felt very good. It is unlucky. Ezri Konsa has played that position for us as well on a high level, still no problem."
Yes Thomas. nobody could see that coming. Literally nobody. Very unlucky.
Just watched the end of the Iran/Eqypt game and they called the Iranian winning goal offside neglecting to show the defender on the far side of the pitch. Most bent decision I have ever seen. I don't know if Iran qualify for the next round but they were definitely cheated by VAR if they weren't. What a corrupt joke.
Doesn't look very 'interfery' (by the modern interpretation). I didn't see the goal, so obviously if it went to the player at the corner of the 6 yard box via pass or unintentional touch/deflection, then all bets are off....but this is very illustrative of the clusterfuck they have intentionally made the laws, so that they can make up outcomes.
The one whose the back heel of the player below the goalkeeper is playing on? (at the very least tight...ps, in that frame the ball hasn't left the foot of the kicker yet).
