He's fast in a straight line but slows everything down when he needs to stop and do something with it.

Meanwhile, the strategy of setting your side up to suit the best cf in world football is not going too bad so far.

We've set up to win penalties and corners?
    Hmm. 2-2. VAR permitting.
4 shots on target, 4 goals.

Southgate mark two. But a bit more porous without two natural defensive midfielders in front of the centre backs.

So good he might even carry this shit England squad deep.

Looks like he might have too much to do with this defence, and the inaccuracy and technical limitations going forward.

Yes and with an attacking midfielder playing left back, an unfit right back and your main centre half having played, what, 5 games all season?

I thought Anderson started well and was good as disrupting the tempo, but he didnt grow into the team and he and Rice have not controlled the tempo at all. So our dodgy defence has been under a lot of pressure. Pickford has also had to do far too much with the ball for my liking, he's good at that but I think he could have a mistake in him if it carries on like that.

Kane as ever has been class though.

Other things going on, but that equaliser - James makes a decision to go late with the first runner, leaves the man completely unmarked on the back post, who then scores.

If I'm running the show he doesn't come out for the second half, not that he would have come out for the first half. Unfortunately England have no full backs fit, in form, and playing on the correct side. In this squad at least.

The left back has been a waste of space too.

Gets away with being a shit defender at City. It’s part of the reason I didn’t and don’t want Rico Lewis.

Can’t imagine Croatia will let this Madueke v Perisic situation continue into the second half.

This will be included in my application for the Croatian managers job.

See also Zinchenko. I don't really see any evidence for NO'R being a left back, he's a midfielder in left back fancy dress.

Anyway, dodgy performance but good game.

More seriously - a 2 goal lead might encourage TT to make subs. Something else he never really did at Bayern. It seemed he just didn't trust the bench. Whatever the score.

    Subs!
To be fair Saka, Rogers and Rashford are better subs than a raw Tel and the rarely fully fit Coman and Sane.
