Does that make Djed back up right back? To Reece James who, let's face it, will get injured.
I was waiting for this
Definitive proof that Tuchel isn't really trying that hard. Both things (Livramento in the first place).
Niakhate has been working on his long throw then. Not nearly as loopy as it used to be.
Tall and versatile. Apparently that's the key, why Burn and now Chalobah are in (and to a lesser extent Konsa and Stones).
What a pass.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this WC so far and Canadians are really embracing it, but it does get a bit wearing having to repeatedly explain that Lionel Messi, while a fabulous player, is not the greatest player of his generation and nor is he the greatest player Argentina has produced, much less the greatest player of all time ever.
Failure to select Nico Dominguez is likely going to be the downfall of Argentina, but I had forgotten about Gonzalo Montiel. It's pretty cool how many current and ex-Forest players are at this tournament.

I've probably missed one or two, but it's a good reminder that we are massive.
So massive that we wouldn't want most of them anywhere near our first team...
Ramon Sosa (Paraguay)
Aaron Tshibola (DR Congo)

A fair few I wouldn't want near our reserves either.
Eli Just (2 goals for the All Whites) is actually from Palmerston North, which is nice (for me). He may look 17, but he's actually 26. Very intelligent footballer, but so slight that I'm astonished he's playing in Scotland.
I'm also surprisingly enjoying this WC so far. The big guns are shaping up nicely -- except for Spain, who cost me a small wad the cunts (and what kinda stupid fucking Aussie gambling regulation prohibits in-play cash out... I mean how the fuck else am I supposed to cut my losses?) -- and most second/third tier teams are also showing up to the party. The stadiums are awesome... that one in Boston looked stupendously massive. I hated the hydration breaks at first, and I'd only allow them above a given temperature threshold, have them much shorter to prevent killing momentum (fuck your commercials), and not allow coach interference. That said, I'm slightly coming round to them in the sense that, if the game is becoming turgid, then at least it gives the coaches a chance to liven things up -- cuz as a punter I'd rather be entertained in the ensuing quarter than sit through another quarter of the same. Also the interminable Scotland featurettes are beginning to grate, albeit the cuteness of Eilidh Barbour keeps them bearable.
Judging by the opinionated know nothing froth on the socials Bellingham is well on his way to being an elite global brand. Wonder what his numbers are like (monetiseable followers, not running kicking). Fair play to the lad, he's got awesome attributes, deploys them, with an elite mentality. Hopefully he makes a big wad for him and his family and can retire in luxury and never have to worry again.
So good he might even carry this shit England squad deep.
Konsa and Stones ahead of Guehi is a strange choice.
