On a busy train. People are standing despite there being quite a few people with small bags and purses on the seats next to them. Total cunts. Make me want to walk down the seat and pull them all onto the floor. Hard to know if they're oblivious or just selfish cunts. Also I want the people standing to be a bit more assertive.
Not oblivious - people are the worst. These are also the cunts who will put their bag on the window seat and sit in the aisle because they presume most people won't ask them to move to sit down.
My friend commutes in and out of central London most days by train and gets sufficiently irritated to actively seek out said cunts and request to sit in the window seat.
I'll stand if it's genuinely full or if I think it's going to be (same on the tube, that way I don't have to make any judgement about whether someone looks sufficiently old/infirm/pregnant etc) but I have no problem politely asking someone to move their bag if I'm standing and their bag is taking up a seat.
I once nearly got in a fight on a commuter train to Bournemouth when some self important cunt got all puffy about me asking him to move his bag off the seat. He told me he needed the space because he was working so I told him he should have stayed in the office, and that if he didn't move his bag I would. I vividly remember his face turning bright red but he did move it with a bunch of spluttering and grumbling.
I’m not massively sure the owners will do a deal for £30m, the egos are massive and they will hugely overvalue what they have.
They are still losing shit tons of money, just taken another loan against PL parachute payments and paying over 8% interest on the last one worth £50m
And whilst they have managed to shift quite a few (no doubt by paying them off) they still have a number of very average players on PL wages. So hopefully they are fucked for a while yet.
I am not opposed to AI and I have a couple of tools that my team has developed which have been extremely useful, particularly around processing CI and large volumes of internal bid and contract data to give us dynamic pricing guidance. But the over rotation by many people to now rely on it for the most mundane of tasks is getting quite irritating, I just saw a draft note to a VP from one of my team members about quite a sensitive matter and it was offensive on multiple levels - not only was it quite obviously written by AI, the tone was matey and condescending and entirely inappropriate. Phrases like "Look, I get it, sometimes we do things and then forget we've done them".
I'm just glad I got asked to review it but it does make me wonder how many other shitty comms are going out that I'm not seeing.
Microsoft outage meaning my relaxing Friday morning coffee ride being rudely interrupted. Still there are worse places to have to help draft comms than sit by the bay with a coffee.
