Kieran Maguire has put a thread on Forest accounts on twitter.

The replies from people who think they are finance/accounting experts amused me.

Wow. They're a board full of Donnys aren't they?
Lovely to see the rage against the owners, the manager and Steptoe. And yet they're still 2nd. On goal difference.

A parcel that I am expecting arrived at the local depot last friday, after having been posted the tuesday prior. I have, via the tracking information, been regularly appraised of how fucking little they have been doing about delivering it. Ten notifications since it arrived at the local depot, including three further notifications that it had arrived at my local depot. Hard to know which to believe, if at all. On saturday I was informed that the delivery driver was coming to collect the parcel for delivery. Presumably he died of boredom, form filling, in an RTA, or some such, in the interim. I have just been notified that my parcel has arrived at the local depot. Again. It's only been a week. I'm sure my new heart will be fine.

Yesterday I posted a birthday card. Ordinary letter size and weight. I had to pay the post office £7.95 to guarantee that it would be delivered today, the day of the birthday.

You have to marvel at the innovation and efficiencies that competition from private companies has brought to the previously moribund public services.

Had a good game today. Worked my arse off. Gave good options, and created two excellent assists. Proper ones for tap-ins, not just last passes. Had a run past two players, and missed the one on one (saved). During my turn in goal tipped a goal bound effort on to the post, successfully defended a one on one from the best player on the pitch, and made an amazing point blank save. We won by two. The decisive action being my last assist to put us two ahead and the game out of reach in the dying seconds.

My team mates were still furious with me in the pub.

    Tough crowd.

My take home; played up front, didn't score, missed when clean through.

    “Worked my arse off”

Can’t run. At fault for several goals.

    “Gave good options”

Touch like a bag of sand. Some bounced off in vaguely the right direction.

    “Two assists”

Stopped clock is right twice a day.

“Mates furious with me in pub”

Had eggs and yoghurt pre-match again.

Makes me miss five-a-side tbh. But then I remember how much I hate having to be places at certain times when I’m not at work.

    “Worked my arse off”

    Did 19 backheels

    “Gave good options”

Would have done more backheels but everyone stopped giving me the ball

    “Two assists”

A couple of the backheels were so bad they fooled everyone.

“Mates furious with me in pub”

Continued to insist, in spite of the statistical evidence presented, that ‘there is no such thing as a bad backheel’
