Had a call from British Gas retentions today.

    "Why are you leaving us?"

    "Because you're not the cheapest."

    "Is that the only reason?"

"Yes, I'm still getting the same gas and electricity so it doesn't really matter who I pay, does it?"

"No, it doesn't. Thanks for answering my call."

Either the most incompetent salesperson I've encountered, or the dead honesty attitude we're going to come to expect from this generation of 20 somethings.

They've still not refunded my credit of £170. I complained and got £40 compensation for delayed refund under Ofgem rules. If they don't pay me tomorrow, its another £40 for not complying with the compensation terms.

They could end up owing me thousands if they never pay. But what use is that? On my gravestone "owed £48640 in British Gas compo."

Who the fuck is encouraging him to write like this? Quite sad to see really as a former newspaper man.

I've got loads of this sort of material. As you might imagine. I have judged TalkBack to be better than that.

Perhaps I should have got a job on the post, or just sold us to it when they tried to buy us?

I’m only amused by this because I am awful.. but at the first MCG Big Bash T20 we were introduced to the ‘Stars Drummers’ who shittly drummed along to some pap music before disappearing into the tunnel and, five minutes later, enthusiastically and cluelessly drumming their way down an aisle to their seats… for the entirety of the minutes silence behind held for the Bondi shooting.

That's brilliant. What could be more appropriate to mark the slaughter of innocents, brought about by the support of destabilisation and anti-social rhetoric and policy, than a nice spell of virtue signaling to a marching drum band.

P.S. I can flog you a nice line in training such as "Mastering Prompting for your Role" and other excellent ways of training machines to replace you. If you want. "We" are leveraging a high level of AI integration and training going forward.

P.P.S. I personally have never used AI in any capacity. Not even once.
