As did going in to administration a few years earlier and clearing all of their debt. The cunts.

Also laundering some of the King Power financing through a made-up sponsor, which is very similar to the charges that make up a chunk of Man City's 115.

There are a few excellent threads talking about our run.

Some are fuming it’s being compared to their PL title win.

One muppet thinks we will crash and burn as when we played a ‘real’ top 2 side in Arsenal we got beat (although someone has pointed out that we beat Liverpool).

More than I thought are half complementary but they really do hate their own club. The Cooper v RVN thread is good.

Five defeats in a row - I fully concur. Could only have been improved if he'd also lost the first two.

Agreed. On form he's the best manager in the division, for me.

Commentators referring to Chris Wood's "renaissance", when he's never looked so consistently good. It's more of a naissance.

I'm not sure that's entirely fair. He scored close to 50 Premier League goals for Burnley during his spell there.

    Chris Wood scoring record

His goals per game record for us is better than Brentley.

Especially if you ignore the first, what, 11 months?

Sure, but scoring close to a half-century of goals in the top flight for a club of Burnley's standing is mightily impressive, for me.

I think it's probably that he's a far better player than most people realise. Many, including me I don't mind admitting, previously had him filed in 'gerrit up to the big lad'.

Very different players I know, but Wood is only a handful of PL goals away from equalling the total number that Dennis Bergkamp managed.

I'd imagine (I've not checked) that he's got there in far fewer games.

Tbf, Bergkamp brought an awful lot more than just goals. I love Woody but he doesn't have a lot of additional strings to his bow.
