I always thought that the whole streaker thing in the 70s was perpetrated by long haired bearded men with a police helmet covering thier, um, helmet.

Although Erica Roe is the only streaker anyone can actually name.

Why do it outside for free when you can do it from the comfort of your own home and charge for it?

Commercially yes I get it, but where is people's sense of community these days?

Same as the sense of adventure and joy when you scored a hedgerow jackpot. All gone now.

It's the kids I feel sorry for. No enjoyment of the simple things anymore

I can't understand why they were dumped in hedges, I didn't complain (or thought about the previous occupier), was it a use once and pass it on system like a library?

I think it was a public service provided by lorry drivers. Probably best not to think too much about the sweaty nob hands.

We once found a Hustler in a hedge along Shelford tops which was a level above all the classics of the time, there was a lot going on but the stand out feature was a woman being assisted by her mate to stuff her minge with carrots. As you get older childhood memories obviously fade but 30 years on I can still say with absolute certainty between them they managed to get 9 in there. What a day.

It was seen as a bit of a laugh back then, but now they’d end up on the same register as Pete. So this probably puts them off.

That October is a very expensive time to visit Boston. Apparently down to a combination of the autumnal colours (folk using the city as a springboard to visit New Hampshire), students arriving at Harvard with families needing somewhere to stay, its proximity to Salem for those interested in Halloween, and a general lack of available hotel accommodation.

A potential trip at half-term would cost almost twice as much as Washington, Toronto or San Francisco, by the look of it.

Boston and Salem were quite reasonable when we visited in Feb a couple of years ago.

They were also fucking freezing. Walking along the shore at Salem might have been the coldest my face has ever been.

Had a great time tho. Would happily return to the area again.

October by all accounts is fucking ridiculous up that way. Salem goes all out at Halloween.

Yep. Little Miss BW is big into Halloween and we thought it would be a fun thing for her to do before she decides it's no longer cool.

How big is Salem, by the way? Looks quite small so having thousands of people descending on it for a week or two every year must be a bit mental.
