I find it interesting, numbers-wise, that our game is basically a toss-up for the bookies, which means we are also second favourites.

Opta have us as favourites now - 67% chance of making the final, 37% of winning.

Think I’m with the bookies. Objectively Villa ought to be sufficiently superior to overcome a one goal headstart over 2 hours and, if they don’t quite, Martinez should give them an edge on penalties. (Think you have to disregard our historically amazing penalty record.)

Not sure about that. I’d take him over Sels if I absolutely had to pick one.

I didn't quite understand this when you posted it. I think Ortega looks very decent, but in light of today I really don't understand why you think this.

Saving his first in-game penalty at the 9th attempt doesn't really change Sels strengths and weaknesses. He's still an outstanding shot-stopper, who's ok, at best, with the ball at his feet and claims almost no crosses.

If you mean the penalty save, I agree, it was a great stop (first one he’s made for us I think).
Other than that, I just think Ortega is a better all round keeper. They’re probably equally as good as stoppers but he’s a bit more calm and commanding than Sels in my opinion.
