That was much better. Given that we’re still getting to grips with Glasnerball, that Sangare was injured, Delap has only trained once and with one or possibly two first teamers still to come, my Madri is definitely half full.

Wiki says Milenkovic is 1.95m whilst Diomande is 1.9m
They say an extra .05 of a metre makes all the difference...

    Is "they" Mrs Rave?

I think we are a counterattacking team, which is going to struggle against teams who sit in. It's why we won so few at home last year.

I don't think it is just whether a team sits in, it is also that this side will not do well against sides with really physical midfielders, like Leeds have. Liverpool are very technical (Wirtz, Szobozslai, McAllister) but they are not the most physical.

BBC have the xG as 1.61 v 2.3. The penalty accounts for more than that difference.

BBC also rated MGW as the best player on the pitch, which I'd probably agree with. Mind you they also rated both wingbacks higher than Murillo or Cunha, which I wouldn't.

Shouldn't that be "Glasner of Madri"?

Diomande has a challenge to dislodge Cunha from the right side CB position.

Good effort Dave. Brave and funny. Liver-were a bit poo. I actually thought Schlager was excellent today. The problem was he was totally knackered in the second half.

We were good value for a result at Anfield today. I just thought we kind of got a bit passive after our second goal. Also that Munoz who Aina was doing well against is rather good and when he had his chance he got a lucky deflection off Murillo which I think made the difference. This wasn't boring today and I thought McAtee was very good. Just we are missing loads of pace. Hutchinson/Elanga would have torched these fuckers in the second half. N'Doye wasn't rubbish today and a nice finish. Pity his one on one with Allison was rubbish. Still not a huge fan but there was something today. Just wish the fucker stayed on his feet. I also thought Cunha was excellent today was Murillo was a bit daft like last week. Would have been nice to win but at least we looked like a football team today. I just worry about the lack of pace. Delap is meant to be fast., He was decent but compare him with Munoz.

Jesus impressed me again. Pity his chance didn't result in a second goal. I wonder where Wood is going to fall in this team? Could Nuno be after him?

We will be fine. We are not shit. I wasn't bored. Is this going to be an exciting season? Dunno. Maybe not a too stressful cosy midtable one? Although Monday may throw up a few surprises that may bamboozle all of us.

MGW was our MOM today but I liked Cunha and McAtee. I thought Aina was much better than last week too. Neco is Neco and nice that he won the penalty.

Unfortunately I agree with Russ and our lack of Wingers is slightly worrying... Boring boring Glasner etc etc...

    Chicago: Comfortable.

Wood: I reckon Nuno would love him .... but unless we sign another striker I don't think we'll be selling him. Delap has a history of injury so it would be crazy to get rid of Wood unless he really kicks off about it, and he doesn't seem the type.

MGW was our MOM today but I liked Cunha and McAtee: McAtee or Cunha for me. They gave it McAtee on TV.
