Actually the opposite in this case, I'm asking why we gave up a goal in a situation where this formation should be advantageous.
Anyway, I don't need an excuse when it's not working very well. We're in the game courtesy of a lacklustre Liverpool in the first half and some excellent play from McAtee and MGW. We're not winning because this shitty formation unbalances us by asking two players to do too much and never make a mistake positionally.

I suspect you may be right on all counts. But perhaps if you actually read what I write instead of just assuming that I'm criticizing the formation then you might find it happening a little less often than you think.
