Turns out 9.4 was enough

I guess it is a true statement but it was max 18.4 so either a typo somewhere or the BBC are actually shit at maths.
Im going for the latter
Who is the best team that England have beaten to get through?
The differing targets were to do with rates if SA v WI was reduced to five overs a side as opposed to playing the full 20 overs.

West Indies on their home turf. Why?
Just curious, I'd only really consciously registered us getting rained off from a losing position against scotchland, losing to de cock, and battering the States.
I assumed we must have actually beaten someone of note.
So, looks almost certain to be England v India in the semi-final. (I don't have much "feel" for net run rate but I don't think Australia are going to overturn a difference of 2.2, even if they beat India.)
a losing position against scotchland,
I'm not sure that's true. The England batting line-up has consistently destroyed associate bowling in this tournament. 109 from 10 overs was very gettable - they've just scored 117 off 9.4 against the US, scored 122 in 10 against Namibia, 50 off 3 overs against Oman.
It might be more likely that the Aussies get knocked out. If they lose to India and Afghanistan beat Bangladesh (both very possible) that’ll do it.
Which would be nice.

NRR decides ahead of head to head, so Australia are 0.8 ahead. As I said previously, I have no feel for what that means (a narrow win and one by a few overs/runs?)
Yes, but they all need to be on the same points for NRR to apply. In the above scenario both India and Afghanistan would have more points than the Aussies.

Of course, yes. I'm being dim. Thank you.
Feels like Rohit is batting here like he isn't India to get 20 overs. Which should help them with the DL if their innings is truncated.
Travelling today so unable to watch. Am stuck with occasional checks of BBC page. Seems like a cracking match
Would prefer it if Australia weren’t making such a good job of this chase.
Saw the last four overs. I enjoyed how that ended.
