Pretty sure we've seen this before. New Zealand's 7th wicket partnership to get over 100, New Zealand's first innings still going come tea tomorrow. They finally fall with ten overs of the day to play, 100 runs ahead. England end day two 18/3 in their second innings.

I was there today. On one hand there was way more cricket that the weather forecast predicted. I thought Englands total was well below par. Then saw a three-wicket maiden for the first time (even if it was from a racist) and the game looks well poised.

What could be more English than a good old fashioned racist?

That's the problem with that Tommy in charge of the English football team. Too European cosmopolitan. And German. Nowhere near racist enough to align with modern British values. And German.

I was also there yesterday, was tempted to leave early during tea rain delay, glad I stuck it out.

I remain disappointed that the E of Gay's Christian name isn't Enola. Though if he fails again he may wish he'd stayed at home yesterday.

In the context of yesterday, “failure” is a relative concept

If he gets to 50 perhaps the MCC members can serenade him with Tom Robinson's 'Sing If You're Glad To Be Gay'.
Or 'I Want To Take You To Watch Gay Bat' by Electric Six.

    The pitch is shit.

I reckon Lords serves up a larger percentage of substandard pitches than most. Can’t possibly stop giving them two tests a summer though…

Being discussed on Sky at tea right now. Apparently £12M and 2 years to fix it.

Running out of space on the batsmen's board and need to fill up the bowlers?

This england team seem to not be very good at cricket, but they at least seem to know how to get on it.

The cricket will come. Feel the vibes.
