At the start of the summer, the club was briefing 4 or 5 signings. When Glasner came in and most of the way though the window, he said 4. We've signed 4.

Yeah, on Saturday, he suggested there might be some more but clearly Everton changed their minds on Armstrong (and if it's at the cost of letting Ndiaye go, that's a mistake but that's their problem) and Palace wouldn't let Henderson go.

If we stick with what we've got, that's better than panic buying Jacob Murphy or similar for £30m.

If Sels gets injured we are proper fucked. And Glasner doesn’t seem to rate him.

Also odd to let two CBs go out on loan when we play three at the back.

Apparently Hull are signing Greek wonderkid Mouzakitis for around 12m. From Oly, which seems odd if he’s as good as many are suggesting.

Outside the big 6, how good is anyone's 2nd choice keeper? Victor gets justly criticised for one horrendous moment but he's no Turner or Vlachodimos.

If we don't lose anyone key like Neco or MGW or Aina or Jesus this will probably have been a decent window, and arguably better than the scattergun ones we had seen in recent seasons. We are trying to get better and the better we get the harder it will be to sign better players.

I don't like John Victor but for 4 out 5 premier league games last season he was good enough to trick Dyche into thinking he was better than Sels. That suggests he is better than Turner and Vlachodimos and as a back up whatever, fine. We would struggle to get a second choice keeper as good as Ortega without any promise of first team football. If someone better than Sels becomes available between now and 2300 and we go for it, great. If not, Sels should be fine.

In midfield, Glasner has made a call that he thinks what we have is good enough. If we get nobody else, we shall see if that is right.

I would crack up laughing if Bergvall, Gray and Hendo all rocked up at the last second.

I am also completely fine with absolute out of the blue unknowns too.

    or a cup of tea.

Nothing to stress over lads. It's only football.

    Chicago: Meant to be working.

Definitely think we need a cm for what we would like to achieve.

It's a consequence of the male condition.

And loaned him back from whence he came, so we aren’t getting Marmadashvili.

Yates 5th choice CB? We look short if no one comes in, assuming sticking to 3 at the back.

He couldn't do that in the championship well I don't think he's getting trusted to do it in the Premier league. Savona could though.

It isn't a given we will play a back 3 every week either, we could well revert to a back 4 and Glasner has said this.

Sunderland had a deal in place to sign some lad called Fofana from Lyon, Palace jumped in this morning and gazumped them. Been back and forth all day, he has now told Palace that it's over and he's going to Sunderland.
