Onana doing his ACL creates an interesting challenge for Villa.

Some linking of McAtee with West Ham. Probably makes sense if we get (most of) our money back. Not sure I'd be keen as a Fernandes replacement and may just be Nuno connection.

I thought McAtee was one of the ‘why the fuck are you giving me this guy.. I want that guy’ signings that led to Nuno fucking off.

I’d have wanted to give him a second season if Vitor was in charge.. because he’s shown that he can play and we have seen plenty of players step up in year two. Not sure he’s an OG player though.. his knack for extended periods of anonymity won’t fit if we’re ramping up all the intensity settings.

The Rico Lewis rumour mill appears to have started up again. His development has basically stalled, hasn't it? And City fans seem entirely unconcerned at him leaving.
    I've no idea, personally.

Obviously talented but I don't see that he fits our model as a full back and definitely not as a wing back - not strong or particularly quick. Unless we think we can turn him into a central midfielder but that's a massive risk.

Slow and makes James McAtee look like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

According to one of those twitter transfer journalists they have now, Matteo Tognozzi who used to be sporting director at Rio Ave (and Juventus but that seems less relevant) was scouting for us at Argentina/Egypt. That Argentina number 10 looked useful and is playing in the MLS, so must be gettable.

No way is he physical enough to play in the Premier League, he's tiny.

Covers both players in recent discussions. Nice work.

I have a weird optimism that we're going to get Bergvall, and I think that's very exciting.

Surely Spurs need to sell a few players soon. So I guess that's a negotiation point

Isn't he more of an attacking midfielder than Glasner usually uses in the centre? (Kamada, Hughes, Wharton, Lerma.)

    ... Hughes...

There was a slightly awkward moment on a recent Forest Focus podcast when Steve Battlemuch referred to Will Hughes as 'The Albino'...

Steve Battlemuch is terrible. He’s one step above Birtles and comes across as some ill informed pub bore. I’d be moving him on if I was Matt Davies.

I had "heard" that Bergvall was a specific Glasner request. I guess the thing with Glasner is we know how he set up at Palace, but we also know he felt he wasn't properly backed there, so we don't know whether that is the midfield he wanted or the one he just had to get on with. Time will (hopefully) reveal all (if he wins enough games quickly enough).

Bidding for Feyenoord full back Givairno Read, who is 20 and was injured a lot last year. Kephrem Thuran and Santiaho Castro rumours are cooling. Not a lot else.
