Tyler Dibling had played the season in the premier league with Southampton, where he hadn't done much (but was and is still very young). Don't think it's hindsight that most people had Fernandes as the better prospect and he's likely to leave West Ham for big bucks this summer.

Selective memory. Last summer the hype was around Liam Delap and Mattheus Fernandes. And both they and Dibling had played in the premier league so a bit different to Hackney who is effectively unproven.

whereas hackney has only played in the championship.... I'm not knocking either player, more a commentary that follows when the summer transfer window hype gets going as a "insider" made mention of a possible link and 'fans" get grumpy/depressed/doom laden that were "missing out"

the 1st test match starts this week... tis the season for cricket.

Actually, I reckon Tyler Dibling is still stuck in the "Total Immersion" video game, playing out his fantasy of being a Premier League footballer along with Duane Dibbly.

Apparently bidding EUR25m for Marc Casado, who’s a reasonably regularly playing defensive midfielder at Barcelona. So seems mildly unlikely.

Man Citeh have put a bid in for Anderson which had been rejected according to D Ornstein.

I see that 'Berninger' joined Talkback three years ago but this was finally the post that made him hit the LIKE button for the first time. Just wait for his first post in 2029, it's going to be electric.

Konate to Real is a done deal. Glad we got Murillo locked down.

So how many Andersons is Anderson worth now?

And how much did City pay Romano for the post?

  • 4 Jun 2026, 6:55 p.m.

The going rate. He's got a nice little business model going there.

  • 4 Jun 2026, 7:11 p.m.

Who else is going to give us over £100m for him? I can't see anyone doing that except maybe Liverpool and even that's unlikely IMO.

    £85m + some add-ons and let's move on.

Or we keep him, try to improve the team and avoid fighting relegation again. It does get a bit boring after a while and judging by last summer we would end up pissing the money away anyway.

I think United would be happy to, the only reason they're not pursuing it is because it sounds like Anderson has said he wants to go to City. I suspect it wouldn't be that difficult to talk him into considering United. And if he has a good WC it wouldn't be a shock if he got on the radar of the big European clubs.

United have made overtures, if you believe the press, that they're unwilling to pay the fee - hence have left City to it.
