I mean most things kindly. Unlike those who would lie to you (one), I give people the respect of being (largely) honest and straightforward......as well a bit sarcastic.

Saw a rumour linking us to Archie Brown from Fenerbahce. 23 year old English attacking left back, came through the Derby Academy. We definitely need cover for Neco, but I doubt he would want to come as an understudy. I guess transfer strategy is going to be entirely different depending on whether we a) stay up and b) win the Europa.
If West Ham go down I wouldn't mind us signing Mavropanos. Every time I see them he looks like a properly good footballer.
He was an absolute joke of a defender for first few months of the season. Nuno has got him decent, but I wouldn't want to gamble on him. On the flip side he gets a few goals. Hmm. Maybe.
Fernandes is the one you want from Wham, especially as an Anderson replacement. But probably too rich for us.
Hayden Hackney.
My first thought was what is wrong with Netz?
Not seen him but good reputation and we've been linked in the past. Guess it depends on Middlesborough not winning the POs.
Neither Pereira nor Dyche seem to have much use for him. I guess if we do make the UCL we're going to need a major upgrade across the squad, and will have the revenue to justify it.

I think that's hard to judge and/or maybe premature.
He couldn't play in the EL as he wasn't named in the squad. Then in the PL, well Neco is head and shoulders number one left back. He'll also be needing to get used to the league, Nottm, his teammates etc.
If Aina is injured then he might just get a game on Monday, with Neco swapping to RB.
I'd rather that than Neco LB and Abbott RB.

Agreed
This is all a bit moot if we get relegated so I wouldn't waste much energy on it.
You all now have permission to continue this discussion.
David Fratessi from Inter Milan.
Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.
That Engels bloke from Celtic.
That seems to be the list currently.
No mention of a striker. We could do with a good one if Woody and Taiwo are buggering off.
Chicago: Striking whilst it’s hot.
We also now know our likely squad strategy - with no European competition I imagine we'll probably try and have a slightly smaller squad, using the savings from having a couple of players less plus the significant profit we're likely to realise from selling Anderson and Murillo (I'm praying we keep Morgan) to add 2 or 3 really high quality players and make a focused effort on European qualification. At least that's what I'd do.

So players we were heavily linked with in January under a different manager, but didn't sign.
Insightful. Not so much hot, as been in the freezer for four months.
