Sounds like nuke hassle have finally worked that out. They badly overpaid, and he will now be on too high a wage.
Go and get another one. Just don't let the one who scouted McAtee be the one choosing. Whoever was forming these views doesn't know what they are looking at.

That's quite the rehabilitation project. With someone who might demand 'wages'. In a position where we already have to rehabilitate or move on 1 or 2 players.

He's going to be taking an extended holiday then because he's on shit loads at United, hasn't done much, and his contract is up in the summer. Not a chance he gets anywhere near what he is on right now.

He's not even a good fit for us. His primary skill is/was relentlessly taking on a set defence. Which he has stopped doing. Not running them from deep.
