I think Morgan may have priced himself out of a move with the new contract last summer.

He's very good for us, but I'm not convinced top-six clubs are looking to drop those wages on a player like him, i.e. mid-20s, blows a bit hot and cold, lessening resale value and edging further away from the England squad.

I agree that I'd be more disappointed with Murillo going because part of me feels that McAtee could step into a MGW void, but I'm not sure Cunha (or maybe Bindon) are ready to start PL matches regularly. Morato for Murillo would be heartbreaking.

It's Anderson isn't it. Good showing for England should help the price.

Take this part of you round the back, and put it out of it's misery.

Murillo talk seems to have gone a bit quiet and I'm not sure there's an obvious destination.

Liverpool was the best destination last year. It's even more obvious now.
He's also top of my keep list.

Is van Dyke leaving then? He’s their left sided centre back - unlikely they’ll force him to switch at his age and with Konate looking to leave, I can’t see them wanting to swap both.

Absolutely. He's not 6 foot 3 and doesn't run up and down in straight lines a lot. Gerrituptheeyuh.

Saving VvD for the Champs League and having that sort of quality in the squad still makes perfect sense to me.

Yeah. At that level you need more than two elite starters. They barely have one. The only thing that might stop them is the amount they spent last summer.

And the distinct possibility they might not qualify for the Champions League.

I also think if Murillo was three inches taller, he'd already have gone.

If he were three inches taller, Dyche would have made him a striker.
    And you're probably right.

The Mirror reckon Man City will get Anderson for £65m. When Rice went for £100m, Grealish £100m, Maguire £80m, Sancho for £73m and Mount for £55m then I think they can fuck off at the at price.

Telegraph are quoting £100-£120m for Anderson.
Reckon it will be somewhere between the two.
Plus £40m for Sangare to Man U and £75m for Murillo to Liverpool.
MGW is beginning to really regret signing that new deal.

40M for Sangaré sounds light given what we paid for him, but i suppose we've written off 3 years of it now.
    And he's 28.

Anything less than £80m would be a steal.

I wonder whether there is a release clause and we're feeding the £100M line to the Telegraph to try to distract from it.

Percy has consistently said we don't have any release clauses for what that's worth.
