Latest from Romano, for what that's worth, is that Palace have rejected the offer and said they have no intention of selling.
Interesting to see what happens next because, as others have pointed out on here, clubs don't make bids without first sounding out a player's interest.

Presumably Everton will need to sell players to get £40m or so of profit in the next couple of days, otherwise they never would have been looking to sell him anyway. It's all very odd.

Something else might come out of nowhere (hi Adam Wharton) but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get another midfielder, it looks and sounds like McAtee + 1 hod carrier from Sangare, Dominguez, Yates, Schlager is something Glasner is quite happy with. There is also Andre, although that could be an Olympiakos thing.

Bergvall is or was clearly someone de Zerbi wanted to keep and he has been playing, so it seems pretty unlikely. The poorness of their start might help though.
He is clearly a good player and talented but they don't need to sell. They are on track to be the richest club in the league, despite being poor on the pitch.
