He’s been very good since then. But also laughable he was deemed better than MGW or Ando by the fans last season. But understandable, given most fans don’t really have a clue.

Player of the season isn’t an objective measure of who’s the best player - it’s far more vibes based. Anderson was on his way out and Morgan has won before and had a shaky start to the season, so people wanted to give it to the player who kept his level up all season. I voted for Morgan but I understand why Neco won.

Almost everyone on Forest Focus went for MGW in their preview of this season but it’s very unlikely to be him, in my assessment because 1. previous winner 2. likely to leave next summer, if he stays that long and 3. tends to go to defenders (6 of the last 7).

Not too sure where he goes, he’s not going to be good enough for a ‘top’ club. Guessing he would take a good wedge to end up somewhere like Spurs.

I dunno, he looks like he'd fill the Andy Robertson shaped hole in Liverpool's back 4 far more effectively than Kerkez did today.

Glasner has spent the last few weeks saying two more was enough. Now, having signed Delap as one of those two, it’s “It will definitely be one, potentially two and probably three (new signings).” Welcome to Nottingham Forest.

I was a big fan of Kerkez prior to him joining Liverpool. He has been absolute rubbish since then. I suspect that he's trying too hard...but I'm pretty sure I could make better decisions from left back. It's just the running that might be a bit of a problem.

Neco would make good decisions. He's got a lot stronger and more positionally aware since he first came to us. Not sure he's quite strong enough for the elite level clubs (see the goal conceded today).

Given they got Kerkez from Bournemouth, and paid quite a lot of money to do so because of how well he was playing, you would expect Iraola to be able to get him right. Still, for the amount of money Frimpong and Kerkez cost they were fucking gash today. If we'd actually had wingers we might have been able to do some real damage to them.

Must have been the one Glasner was referring to in the presser yesterday. Suspect Neco may have played his last game today.

Looks like it won't be dull and likely lots of fun. Awesome going forward but perhaps spends a little too much time on his arse in defence.

Does that follow? He doesn't seem to rate Ola in the left and clearly has Neco ahead of Netz, so if Neco leaves, he'd surely want a lwb and I've not seen any linked.

I'm definitely giving up Aina ahead of Neco given the choice, but I'm not sure we will be.

Watching that made me immediately realise why I like him. With the ball he wants to stay on his feet and run at people, when he doesn't have the ball he wants to launch himself into a challenge. A very old skool complete opposite to modern spanish dancing.

I'm voting for fun...until his legs go.

I meant more in terms of the fact there's been a fair bit of noise about interest in him, and I'm not entirely convinced he works in a Glasner system unfortunately.

If you're primarily a full-back, and a bloody good one in his case, I don't know if Glasner-ball up and down the flanks would be a whole lot of fun.

I really hope he is still here at midnight on Tuesday, but wouldn't be surprised if we take some money. His stock is likely as high as it's going to be at present.

Apparently the Munoz fee is a record for a right back in his 30s.

Wasn't he a wing-back when he came to us, and had to learn to be a full-back, when SSC pragmatically changed to keep us up? I could see a world where he (and in fact of what was pre-existing at the club he is our best) could do wing back on either side (inverted or orthodox).

Possibly not to the level of Munoz going forward...but he's a grafter and a developer, so I wouldn't rule it out.

Selling Neco because we have signed a right wing back would be insanity- we need two in each and that will be Netz/Neco and Aina/Munoz.

    Today was good.

The two most important things are Delap put himself about when on, and McAtee showed the McAtee experiment can work.

Moyes post match comments suggest Armstrong may be joining us.

"I think you always have to consider supporters. There’s also times at clubs when people who are really powerful make difficult decisions. Not all decisions are popular. Sometimes they have to do it for different reasons."
