I've lost league matches 3-0 in less time than that frame took.

If this was a club table I'd be unhappy with it. Drifts off up table to the yellow pocket. Inconsistent nap roll to the middle bags, and the right hand black pocket plays tighter than the left hand one.
Yes. Donaldson played a shot to roll up to a ball on the baulk cushion, a shot I wouldn't attempt on a club table due to the likelihood of it drifting and missing the object ball, and so it did. There are two tables in my club where you can trust the roll, but that shit from Donaldson was like one I see regularly on our club tables.
Anyway, if Allen is to get back into and win this match it'll take him until about 2.30 at this rate.
Also, Davis seems to think that Allen's titanium ferrule is causing him problems. I've improved a lot since I bought my new cue which has a titanium ferrule, but then I haven't been playing 16 hours a day for 30 years.
Donaldson is playing a little like me in this match. Some good long pots, solid safety, and the inability to get a break above 30.
3-0 win in the league tonight; third 3-0 in a row. Tonight was especially good because he was top of the league, five points ahead of me with a frame difference of +20 v my +16. With four points for a 3-0 win, I'm now only one point behind with a frame difference of +19 v +17.
I'll remain in fourth place level with the player in second on points, who didn't play tonight. He has a frame difference of +29, a handicap of -7 and usually gets at least one fifty break in a match. He looks odds-on yo win the league, although he just lost his first match two weeks ago.
I'm also level on points with the player in third, the ex-pro footballer, whose frame difference is +24. It's tight at the top!
I don't want to be in the top three at the two thirds point of the season as they have 7 removed from their handicap and the bottom 3 have three added.
Enjoying Selby/Hawkins. Nice and grindy.
So this triple crown final is going to be contested between a man who doesn't aim at the ball, and one who bobs and weaves into his stroke like a drunken sailor.
The two best players in the world currently.
A decent final in the end. First session of the evening was wobbly, and Selby almost contrived to throw it away but fell over the line. Could it be something to do with the lead piping used in Victorian Plumbing?
Don't want a Chinese player to win. Don't want Shaun Murphy to win.
The modern world is shit.
Murphy won. Worst case scenario.
Hell of a game between Ronnie and Higgins - final frame last night was enthralling.
My annual trip to Crucible tonight - either Trump or Robertson to a finish.
Should be interesting. I'm enjoying the bags being tighter and the cloths heavier this year. It means the circus acts can't be potting everything off the lampshades into dustbin lids, but actually have to aim, and tablecraft has a value.
Hissein Vafaei has just played the sort of shot I specialise in. Cue ball straight up in the air and off the table. Tight finish between him and Judd.
Jimmy White was in the club tonight playing in another tournament. He crashed out 5-2 to Billy Castle who's a local amateur champion (close to being pro) and, for the second time running, hot-footed it out of the club in a temper. He looks terrible, really ruddy face like he's been hitting the bottle. Apparently he spent some time in the casino earlier.
As for myself, the league has finished and I finished a fairly creditable 7th. I'm hoping to get the most improved player trophy if nothing else. I was third as recently as January, but my form has dropped off a cliff, and playing a friend tonight it was as if I'd never picked up a cue before. I do have a best of 7 final to play on Monday for the league equivalent of the Carabao Cup, so I need to play myself back into form before then.
Talking of Cliffs, Cliff Thorburn was there tonight (as was Stuart Bingham and Neil Foulds). Cliff was a perfect gentleman and seems genuinely happy that I played the dump shit tonight and we always mention him when we play it.
Tomorrow they have Ronnie, Shaun Murphy and Lucas Brecel amongst others. I won't be going because they want £50 admission and I think it's a damned liberty that the club I'm a member of wants to fleece me even though I want to play snooker on a table where near the tournament table. Damn their eyes.
Some of the lads I know set me up for a game with a girl, in the hope that I'd lose. Which I did. It was Michelle Holt. Michaels sister. Decent.
Beaten by a girl? Funnily enough Jimmy lost to Rheanne Evans last time he was here.
