I thought Morato did okay in the last porto game. There's a world of difference between 'ship athletes running at him, than your average second rate european no mark player. Given that he has achieved second rate european no mark level himself.

Morato came through at Benfica. No idea if that makes any difference to his ability or motivation to play against Porto.

Morato doesn't play like someone affected by motivation.

That seems a little unfair. I don't think he doesn't try, he just isn't very good.

I read it the other way. He doesn't struggle for motivation. Just ability to play at the level.

okay, this probably doesnt fit in this thread, so apologies, but its UEFA related so here goes.
I put my name into the UEFA hat for tickets for the final, and I have been successful in the ballot to go forward to try and get tickets when they go on sale tomorrow at 11am. I can purchase 2 (if i get through).

Kicker is that I wouldnt be able to go to Final due to work commitments with a client. I am tempted to try anyway and then see what I do with the tickets afterwards, but small print does say that tickets only valid for the purchaser. Does anyone have any experience of how possible it is to move on a ticket (if I get one) thats in another persons name. I remember for one of our UEFA game we needed to have a passport matching name on ticket - or did I imagine that.

I want to avoid spending money on a ticket I know I cant use and cannot resell it

Betis was the only one that wanted a passport at ground and actually looked at it but they didn't as far as I remember match it to the ticket name.

Some others said you would need to show it but then never asked for it.

Dunno if a final is different. Worst case won't you be able to resell via Uefa site?

For all of our uefa games, you've had to have a passport to collect the tickets abroad. But this is a forest thing, not a UEFA thing.

    Yeah what these guys said.

I'd buy the tickets if it was me.

Me too. I was unsuccessful though. Bstard.
Pretty certain you can resell them via UEFA anyway.
I went to Europa League final few years back (2015 in Warsaw - saw Raddy outside the stadium randomly) and don't recall having anything other than the ticket checked, but I was so drunk I fell asleep in the second half, so my memory is not to be relied on.
(and it was a physical ticket, before everything was on mobile).

Listening to the radio with lots of "if we can just", "were only X wins away", "it's a strong line up", "once in a generation" and the ol' "with the crowd behind us", plus a celebration of all our yesterdays.

Queue Porto score early, crowd goes flat, and the men of war proceed to demonstrate how to truly play counter attacking football.

    Choo choo!
