Bakwa has suddenly turned into a footballer by curling a beauty into the top corner against the greatest team in the world PSG. Clearly our coaching is rubbish..

    Chicago: Breaching the language barrier.

Bakwa is another who clearly has something about him. But yet again he was written off after being chucked in a few cobbled together sides for cup matches under a structure of chaos.

Everybody wants something instantly these days and should someone not hit the ground the running, for whatever reason, they are just labelled shit.

We will now see the same with Schlager, Diomonde and Delap.

I was going to say that's no wins in 8 for Derby and Lestah, but it's actually 1 in 9 as Lestah triumphed in their local derby Carabao Cup 1st round tie 1-0 v Northampton.

I really don't like the look of striped shirts...given that this match is the insipid blue, made even more insipid by the addition of 50% white, and the other side are dressed like wasps, it's not a good look.

That's before you even get into the championship standard of the football.

I'm half watching Bournemouth v Everton. It's a dull match and Harrison Armstrong has been suitably unremarkable.

Hull two wins from two. Frank Lampard's Coventry two losses.

I think Tel has just set a new world record for clearing the crossbar with a free kick.

Even though <cliche> the table doesn't mean anything for another 8 game weeks <cliche> I'm very happy with Spuds currently bottom on goal difference. Especially after spending quite a chunk of money.
Newcastle were really rather a funny team under Howe. They might not be now. Happy for Spuds to inherit the mantle.

Anyone watching the United game can explain to me why that was handball by Maguire according to the officials but not handball enough to disallow the goal.

It seems that had his shot gone straight in the goal wouldn't have stood, but the deflection somehow 'neutralised' the offence.
Schroedinger's handball. Or whatever favours Man Ure.

I know I shouldn't try but I just can't understand the point of that quirk or what scenario it is supposed to deal with and make better.

If even the officials agree it's handball then without that Maguire doesn't control it doesn't take the shot and the deflection doesn't happen.

Surely all those phases after the handball never happened.
